that sounds awesome..are you going to put the fruit on the table for the people to see or are you going to have a card up with the fruit name? this is where my problem is stemming from..i'm not sure how to show the name of the table..

Re: who's doing..
I went to a wedding where the bride loved the outdoors and each table was a different type of tree or flower. We felt bad for the people sitting at that pansy table She gave out mini trees as favors and seeds. It was a cute idea.

Re: who's doing..
I went to a wedding where the couple was honeymooning in Scotland, so they named each table after a different pub in Scotland. It was an adorable idea, but confusing if you didn't know what they were doing, becuse some of the table names were quite odd - i thought they just made words up!!

Hmmm...
I think I'm going to have cards shaped like the fruit with the name on it.

I went to a wedding that used different types of bird houses painted white with daisys sticking from them with the numbers on the daisies. but could use different names of the houses (there was a castle birdhouse, church, house, etc.). They were really cute and everyone wanted to take one home.

Re: who's doing..
We are doing names instead of numbers. Not sure how we are going to display them... maybe the same way the numbers would be since it will still be on cardstock ??

Re: who's doing..
We're doing Monster names.
FH's family will have the Frankenstein Table and my family will have the Bride of Frankenstein Table, then a Dracula table, etc.
I'm hunting the web for artsy pictures and having them put on a heavy card stock. Then we are making the place cards with a smaller version of the picture.
The hardest part has been coming up with 15 monster names!! Luckily my fellow Halloween brides are on top of things!!

Re: who's doing..
We are doing different teas... with cute little pictures on each (like celestial seasonings boxes). We are putting them up on these whimsical little stands from Pier1.
We are doing table with symbols, like the beach, the park, Disney, flowers, etc and each table will have a description why each is special to us.

I'm doing table names (probably our favorite places, colors, etc.). We will put them in alphabetical order so everyone can find their table!
