Who's doing it?

So, who's drinking at their wedding? I'm not a big drinker, but I have a bad habit of getting trashed at weddings as does FH (oh the pics we have from my brother's wedding). FH has a bad habit of groping me and undressing me when he's drunk.

I know we are going to drink, but I'm wondering to what extent. I know I don't want to be hanging off the dock puking, but I also don't want to be sober. I also know there will be pictures that I'll be looking at for a lifetime.

Guess there's always the after party.......hmmmmm decisions decisions!!!!!

What about you guys?

I'm going to stick to a glass or two of champagne. Nothing more.

Since I lost all that weight drinking seems to make me tired and I get drunk too fast

I like to drink and I love to get drunk at Weddings - but I don't want to be drunk at my own!! FH doesn't drink at all.

We are going to have mini martinis, martini ice luge, frozen drinks, and open bar all night so it will be hard for me not to get wasted.

I will drink but once I feel buzzed I am going to stop. I don't want to be 'one of those brides'

Yeah, a nice buzz where I'm still able to sound intelligent would be ok. No way I'd get away with banning shots.....especially since my uncles and I always do tequila shots at every function. We asked all the RHs we saw if they allowed shots since some do have a no shot policy. What does it say about me that that would have been a deal killer if they refused shots?

I def want to drink, but just enough. I don't want to embarass myself! And whatever I drink, it has to be something clear! I loove cosmos but I have a habit of wearing the whole drink...not cool. FH has allready told everyone that he wants 10 beers llined up waiting for him at his seat. That's not going to happen either lol

I thought most places had a policy against shots. Not that they ever stick to it...I always end up getting a bartender to make them for me. But I hope to be on my best behavior at the wedding. I have too many drunk embarassing stories!

i'm with you amanda, i could never have a no shot policy, my family always does at least one round of shots of jack together at all major family functions

OMG i'm with you on the pre-shot thing. Already have a note to speak with the RH about setting up shots for me, my brothers and my father prior to the wedding. It's a must. My brothers are officiating so I know they'll be nervous, I'll be nervous and I'm sure my father will join in the reindeer games.

I'm drinking, no too much but just enough. Few glasses of something clear....no red wine or anything. I am such a slob, I spill everything

i don't think i would be able to make it down the aisle without having at least one shot, probably two and i know the rest of the BP will be doing them with me

I don't like being the center of attention either so i will def have to drink before hand!!

I may have a glass of Champagne for the toasts, but I am not a big fan of drinking, nor is FH, so that may be it.

Now thats not saying I wont have something to drink during it, but not planning on a lot. I usually stick to diet soda during weddings

I'll be getting s buzz... it's my wedding! Why the heck not! I pretty much have to walk across the parking lot to get to my hotel... it's whatever.

I don't get drunk much these days but I'll keep a good buzz going.
