Who's going to school this spring??

Who's going to school this spring??

I’m already exhausted just thinking about it.
I work in the City (midtown) and I’m trying to do the right thing and get my butt back in school. I’m going to Nassau Community College cause my office pays for it and it’s right behind my house.

Taking Tuesday & Thursday night classes and a Saturday class this semester. I thought I was set.

THEN the doom of Physical therapy set it. Twice a week to woodbury (off Jericho turnpike near one of those golf courses – by the Cold Stone Creamery) and just a BIT far from school and from work and from Jim’s work.

So Now it’s Tuesday School, Wednesday Physical Therapy, Thursday School, Friday off, Saturday Physical Therapy & School, Sunday off and Monday off.

3 days to do homework and study.
2 days to work late with no real ‘rush’ to leave

At least 2 months of Physical Therapy

Someone remind me “It’s all worth it”

*whew*
(and to think I was gonna get a parttime job at Barnes and Nobles, HA!)

I have no college degree right now. Most jobs look at me as if Im some sort of invalid for not having at least 2 year degree. I’m fed up with the excuse of “Well we pay them more because their educated”. 8 years of industry experience and 3 professional designations and I could run circles around some of these kids they hire and pay MORE than me and give them MORE respect.

Uneducated does NOT equal unqualified!

But let’s face it, in the real world folks can get away with acting like it can’t they?

i agree a degree is not the end all to everything. You can learn much more in the real world

Trust me when I say you can do it !!!

I worked full-time, planned my wedding and went to school 3 1/2 hours a night monday thru thursday for months. Most semesters I would take three classes and summers were work during the day and school at night.

After two years, I am completely done and oh so happy !!

It is sooooo worth it in the end. Yes, if you dwell on how much time it takes, you will be unhappy, but it can all be done !!!

meeeee.... and FH too.

I've had enough already. I've been in school every year for the past 17 yrs...and I'M SICK OF IT. Especially professors that think they're the only thing in your life - I hate that!

We're both in school to become teachers - he is working as a sub and taking classes, I am going straight through from undergrad and working at a medical office until I get my masters. It's hard, not fun, stressful, and it better be worth it!!!

We should have a 'school' board.

For those IN school and those brave souls who work in them! hehe

I REALLY regret not waiting long enough to find out if my 3 friends from my last math class are taking intro to stats this semester. It was GREAT having a support system. We all worked (actually the guy works at Harrison House!!!) and 2 of the four of us had kids. It was nice to call on each other for help.

Miss them already.

I might be going back part time. I've been having a hard time completing classes b;c of my back problem. i don't have much left in my undergrad degree, but I have to take it slowly. it's DEFINITELY worth it. The sense of accomplishment you will feel will make it all worthwhile!
