We're not registering for it. All the people I've asked that have fine china said they never use theirs and it was a waste so we skipped it. We registered for a nicer casual set from Macy's instead.

We did but every month we have a dinner party at our house with all our friends ( its our way to get everyone together for a night since everyone is crazy busy) it'll be nice to have nice dishes to use.

Re: who's not registering for fine china?
We only registered for fiesta ware for every day dishes. Got 4 peacock and 4 cobalt! I'm going to have my dinning room peacock colors!!!! My mom has a set of china she rarely uses and will probably give me once I have a house and a china cabinet! FH's grandma also has a nice set, so I wouldn't mind if she gave us hers! And yes, I would use fine china. Any time we had friends over for dinner, I would pull it out! I like using nice things and I believe it's a waste not to use them. FH loves cooking dinner for people, so I think when we move near his family they will be over a lot and yes I will pull out the china.

I did and registered for everyday type china as well. You can always just use that!
I can't wait to entertain with my china. I know I probably wont open it until we move, but I love cooking/dinner parties. Our friends had us over and used their china for the first time! It is beautiful!

When I was born my maternal grandparents wanted to make sure that they bought me China (just in case they didn't make it to my wedding...which both have passed). My poppa liked one style and my nanny liked another so I actually have 2 sets of China of which I don't know if I'll ever use...I'm a klutz and so afraid I'm going to break them! LOL
That is SO sweet! I hope you try them out someday! :)

I have my china (well half of it) because when Fortunoff went out of business, they sold all of their china for around $30 or less. My family went out and bought all the place settings. I only registered for the serving plates.
If it weren't for the super sale, I probably wouldn't register for china at all.

We did not register for fine china and I'm happy we didn't. We would never use it and plus we don't have the room for it.
We registered for a nice pattern at Crate & Barrel which is nice for every day use and entertaining.
I'm not...You will probaly never use it. I'm just gonna register for nicer everyday plates
