......your bridal shower?

I know that 'traditionally', the bridal party are the ones who host and pay for the bridal shower. I don't know if that is still the case anymore. Most showers I have been to have been hosted by the MOB or other female family member.

So, who is paying for yours?

My mom and my sister are paying for mine. I really don't want one. I think the engagement party is enough.

we may pay for it b/c we are not having a traditional shower with just the ladies. FH is a huge fan of cooking and the kitchen so he is picking a majority of the stuff... we are having a 'jack and jill' shower but haven't decided what to call it yet... we are going to have it in my backyard and just have a party!!!

My mom is paying but I think my BP is paying for the CPs, favors and the invites.

Most likely my sister and mother will be getting the bridal shower together.. Along with my SIL.. These ladies are always doing things like this..

my shower is a surprise so I'm not really sure. My mom hasn't worked in a while so i think my BM's are paying for it.

probably my mother and maybe my aunt.....i have 2 cousins in my bridal party and they are 12 and 17, so i can't expect them to contribute, which is why i say my aunt.
she may just ask the other BMs for help in planning

Etiquette says that people in your immediate family should not ask people to give you gifts so they shouldnt host the shower...

Annnnd my mother literally lives out of Emily Post and will have nothing to do do with my shower because of this. So who knows!!!! Maybe I can answer this closer to the wedding when I know if I will even get one

my mom paid the bulk of it, but each of my bridesmaids put in a designated amount..it was all taken care of way in advance so they had plenty of time.
