My wedding is in 19 days, but I am very certain there are many others before me

I don't think I'm next, but we are on August 2nd. It's so hard to believe that in 18 days I will be a married woman! There are still so many details to firm up...I didn't think I would be this busy w/ wedding stuff. Thank goodness for summers off
I'm finally a full-time LI resident now, and the adjustment has been harder than I thought. My fiance will not move in until after the wedding, so at times it's a little lonely. Life would be perfect if I had a FT teaching job here, I left my 6th grade position to move here. That was probably one of the hardest things I have done. I had my shower in Westchester at Laguna's. To make a very long story short I knew about the shower because they called my house (where I lived w/ y mom) and left the date on our answering machine. I played it off to my mom that I never heard it, but she called them and gave it to them. Would you believe they called again and left the date and location again after being asked not to call that number? To sum it all up I talked to the manager that day and told him he pretty much ruined my shower surprise, and that he should do something for my mom on the bill, and he was SO rude!! To top it off, the girl at the front desk was overheard by one of my guests saying 'did you see all the stuff that girl got? what a spoiled brat'. Don't do or send any business to Languna's in Westchester, they are VERY unprofessional. The day was very nice, but it flew by! I can only imagine how fast the wedding will go.

Heather - I have been to Laguna's twice and was unimpressed by the service both times. the food is really good but they all need an attitude adjustment!!!!!!!!

I can't believe that is all and I will be married

To answer some of your questions-
No, he did not take anything off the bill. You would think he would have thrown in the something. My FMIL gave him some of her homemade Italian cookies and my fiance gave him a bottle of wine! The service was horrible, but yes the food was good.

final dress fitting (the dress fit perfect, they only needed to take it in a little in my chest area and do the bustle)

This weekend is my bachelorette party. We are going out in the Hamptons and my fiance is going to Canada. I need to find something fun to wear.

Heather you just let me remember that I do not have pack for HM on my list, the most important thing I also forgot my bachelorette party is this Saturday the 20th ....YIPEEE!!! I think we are going to LIPS or a comedy club then we are having a big girls sleep over at my MOH's apt.

I also forgot, remind FI to book hotel room for our night of!!!

It is so funny that your dress fits perfectly, b/c mine does too, the only thing they have to do is the bust and the bustle, what a coincidence.


Do you have your something old, new, borrowed and blue, your jewelry etc???

I am using a vendor on here to do my chocolate place cards, its serves the same purpose but their names will be wrapped in a hershey chocolate bar, done with a personlized wrapper, that her and I came up with together. Her busines is called chocolate wraptures. Her name is Pam

Cooky, we have the same date. I think we already discussed that though. My list is still big, but getting smaller by the day.

We have plans to go to the Tavern, but I'm always up for suggestions! What type of crowd goes there? We are all in the 27-30 range, so were looking for a place that has this age group (not too young). We know the owner of Brazil, so we may stop there too. It seems like the 20th is a big night for bachelorette parties...have fun and be safe!
Hint: before you go to bed, drink a full glass of water, take two tylenol, and vitamins (I take a multi and vitamin c). This will help with your hangover

I am sooo sorry to hear about Laguna's. As a matter of fact, I think I had mentioned it to you a while back. I feel just awful that this happened to you. There is simply no excuse for that - and they should have definitely compensated your mom in some way. It's such a shame too, and I was shocked to read it. Because we had my friend's shower there last year, and it was a complete success. Not just the food, the service and everything else. I'm certainly not trying to excuse their behavior though. I'm glad you had a nice day anyway!!!!

I went to the Foggy Goggle for my bachelorette party - we had a blast! Ended up hanging out with a bachelor party the whole night!

I am getting them from a vendor on here called Chocolate wraptures. I think they are 0.90 each, don't quote me, but I think they were under a dollar.

Here is what they look like. On the back will be our names and our wedding date and a short note of thanks to our guest...dual purpose I think they will be a hit. On the front will be our guest name and their table name and a quote from our invite.
