So I was watching that show this morning (love it) and there a wedding where they didn't get RSVPs from a lot of their guests. So they decided to make the wedding plan inform any 'surprise' guests that they had to pay for their plate. SHe had to ask for $60.25.
They kept showing the cheapness of the groom, and it was his idea to charge the people..... I couldn't believe that!

I saw that episode too! I don't think I could ever bring myself to ask my guests for money... even if they didn't rsvp!

Re: Who's Wedding is it anyway
Wow, that's SO nasty. #1 - I always RSVP. #2 - Even if i didn't, if the bride came up to me and told me she was charging me for my plate, I would probably take my card and my check back, tell her to kiss the fattest part of my @$$ and then leave. All kidding aside, that's a pretty tacky thing to do... mom already warned me that there will be loads of people to won't RSVPand that I just have to suck it up and start making calls.
i would never ever charge my guersts thats horrible. they are the ones that you want to share in your special day! them being there is just enough for me

They only showed one guy who had to pay. I felt so badly for the wedding planner who had to ask for the $$$.
