Who's your flower girl?

Hi Ladies,

I was just wondering who your flower girl will be. This past weekend my 6 year old boy cousin was asking me who was going to be my ring bearer. Of course I want him to be, but I don't know who the flower girl will be. He's the youngest in my family and the next youngest is me! On my fiance's side, he doesn't really have young cousins, they're our age and up, but... his mother's cousin's daughter is 5 years old. I never met her, or her mother and have no idea who they are. I feel like disconnected and weird to have someone be a flower girl who I don't know. When I asked my fiance (who's met the girl like twice) what he thinks, he's fine with it. But he has no relationship whatsoever with the girl, where we have a great relationship with my cousin! Does anyone have any comments to this situation. I mean it's not horrible having her as a flower girl, but I don't even know her and dont' even know if I will meet her before the wedding. What do you think?

I think that your attendants should be someone you care about. It really irks me when people pick people because the numbers aren't even (btween GM's and BM's) or because they think they need to ahve a flower girl or RB and come up with some random kid. I think it's nice that you're thinking twice about it. I wouldn't have the little girl, but JMO.

My niece will be flower girl ... she will be 6 by the time we marry

FH's niece who will be 6 and my MOH's daughter who will be almost 3 when we get married

Why have a flower girl at all?

My nephew would be my ring bearer if he can make it (im not sure my brother's coming.. don't ask... long story).

If he does then go me! If not, then no ring bearer. Its him or no one.

Flower girl.. I have no one that young so I was fine without one.. then DH asked if it was ok that his Best Man's oldest girl (same age as my nephew) could be flower girl. I said I could care less. Now the best man may not make it (irony, no?) so if does, I have a flower girl, if not then I still don't.

Im not stressing over it. They are kids. Its hard enough to get them to go down the aisle. And talk about dress worn only ONCE!!!! The rings are generally not REALLY held by the ringbearer but the MOH & Best Man anyhow.

So it would be nice but not necessary.

our fg is my niece who will be 2 1/2

... you dont have to have both... we will not be having a ring bearer since we dont know a young boy...
its perfectly fine to have only one..

his 2 neice's will be the flower girls and his nephew and other niece will be the ring bearers.

My two nieces are flower girls and two nephews are ring bearers. Another neice will be a jr BM.

My niece will be the FG (she's 7) and my nephew (her brother) will be the ring bearer, he will be 4.

Our FG is FH's Goddaughter (niece) who will be 4 (I think) by the wedding.

we are having one of our bridesmaid's daughters she will be 5 as our flowergirl and we arent having a ring bearer - we are going to use 'the thing' from the addams family on a radio controlled car to deliver the rings - we dont really have any young males in the family and figured with our halloween theme we could get away with something out of the ordinary

I'm having my 2 nieces. I don't have a ring bearer. I don't think that you need to have both a FG and a ring bearer. I would just have a ring bearer if you don't know the FG that well.
Its up to you its your wedding I think that you can do whatever you want.
