I am just curious b/c I always thought it was bad luck but I have seen many a man in the bridal salon with their fiances while they try on dresses?
Did any of you girls do this?

NOpe - i dont believe in supersition - but FH did not help me pick my dress

I am not superstitious but I want him to be suprised. We looked at dresses together beforehand in a bridal magazine and we both liked the same styles. Although the one I got is kinda different from our favorite ones I love it on me and I know he will too.

he came with me early on so i get could an idea of what he liked (he's so picky about fashion) and then went from there.

I wanted him to look through bridal magazines to help me get an idea of what he liked, but he wants to be completely surprised. He's very conservative so I'm hoping he likes my gown. I just want him to think I'm beautiful on our wedding day, not be like, 'What is that thing?'!!

OMG that is sooo my fear! He refused to look with me so I would non-chalantly flip through magazines while sitting near him and see if he said anything. What I got from that was that he didn't like lace or very dark ivory dresses. Other than that when asked what he thinks a bride should look like he responds 'white dress, train, and that thing on top of your head...' so i guess I don't have much to worry about.
edited to say - although i really wish he would have just looked with me to eliminate the grief!!!!

FH did not want to look at it. He wants to be surprised. He doesn't even want to see a picture of the dress.

i want him to be surprised but i also like his input so i've looked through magazines with him and he's told me what he likes and doesn't like so i'm basing my choices close to that..i haven't started trying on yet so i'm slacking a bit but he won't know which one i'm getting..

FH has seen the exact picture of my dress and he gave the thumbs up. I really wanted his input but I will not let him see me in the dress until our wedding day. I have no problem withhim knowing what the dress looks like - he's going to be coming with me to pick it up once it's ready. As long as he doesn't see the complete final package until it's time.
