Winter weather advisory just flashed on the TV for eastern LI... rain will turn to snow and a drastic temp drop overnight 1 to 3 inches...

i'm a city teacher so the chances of a snow day, even if LI is closed is slim to NONE!!!

It's snowing in western Suffolk - it's only been about a half hr and my car is fully dusted with white. Yay! (My work commute is 2.4 miles, so I don't mind too much!)

To everyone that's headed out tomorrow morning: Be careful! We want you back on the boards tomorrow night.

its snowing here now! yeah I just looked out the window. i hope we get lots of snow. . I remember when i was a kid also And I would hear on the news that school was closed my sister and I would go outside and play in the snow and our dog brandy she was a poodle she would try to walk in the snow and her legs would sink in there we would have to pick her up.and my sister and I would make snow angels and a snowman than have Hot chocolate to warm up and than back outside we would go.what memories!

LOL...but I'm out east where they are calling for more. Its not even the snow that sux, its the ice and traffic! YUCK!



I am out east also and i just got the weatherbug alert it says we are getting 2-4 inches of snow or More. I got a feeling we are going to get a lot.

i don't mind the snow...really. but i don't like driving in it.. my car isn't fantastic insnow and people who have suv's drive like they are invincible. and i'm the kindof person who likes to keep my obligations, so like the postman, neither rain nor snow nor sleet keep me from doing what i need to do...why am i such a goody goody???

I went to school in NYC and when i was in HS we ahd the first 2 snow days in 25 years...so I didn't get that snow day feeling

I went to NYC public schools from K-12 and never had a single snow day! I believe the year after I graduated was the when we had the blizzard (96?) and I was even inbetween semesters at college so I don't know what its like to have a snow day

I understand from my DH and MIL that they rarely if ever have a snow day in NYC.
