The Long Island board there is pretty slow now and days...but the NYC board is pretty 'jumping' - however, this board, by far has many more brides and a lot more 'action' going on....

I dunno but the knot sux. I registered and have tried to log in numerous times but my username password does not work...sounds idiotic but then the send me the pswd to my email and it's the same one. I don't understand how it doesn't work. By this time I've pretty much given up , Maybe its just me but im having a bad experience with that site.

I used to be on the knot.com everyday until I found LIW. The knot isnt really as helpful as this site! I just use it for the guestlist

I am. I used to be on there much much more. Once I found LIW I stopped frequenting theknot.com. Theknot seems to be kind of slowing down (especially the Long Island board).

Yup same here...I used to be on the knot everyday before i started coming on LIW.

I subscribed. I don't go on their Long Island board at all but I love the destination weddings board. The girls there are so nice and helpful . Also they have amazing bios where you can get really great ideas. I just hate the format of the message boards and there is no private message function which can be a big pain!

I am, but I don't go on anymore. The LI board is dead over there. The same girls that were helpful ont hat board are on here so I stick to just LIW now. Soooo glad I found it, but wish I had sooner!

LI boards used to be much more than they are now over there....i post regularly to both LIW and theknot. but LIW is easier to use.

I love the knot because they give you a great wedding website, and other great functions (such as sorting your guestlist and on-line RSVPs and links to your registry)
but sometimes their chats are really slow, so I chat here instead.

I did but I never ever use it for chat purposes (stumbled upon one thread that was WAY too graphic for me). I just like looking through the galleries to get ideas and stuff.

I am on the knot but I like LIW much better, especially for posting purposes. I use the knot for my guest list and also I sometimes browse through their online store for stuff.

I'm on, but don't really jive with their BBs but I do find the planner helpful, as long as you don't go TOO nuts believing it, it helps you think of some details...I mean, I signed up the day after I got engaged and I was already late!! So...helpful but not as great socially as LIW!
