Re: Whre is everyone having their REHEARSAL DINNER...
we had ours at Danfords on the Sound. The food was delicious. But it was a cold night..too cold to go out and enjoy the view or walk the docks.

the offered a complete open bar for an additional 12pp...we did not opt for this option and I am glad because we just offered beer and wine and the cost was a lot less by paying cash for it at the end of the night.

We're doing Jillians in Westbury. We're renting the Liberty Room. After dinner, we are allowing our OOT guests to join us for a little pool, video games, and bowling.

We hadn't figured it out yet but actually FSIL had suggested saving some $$$ & just have a bbq at home. Anyone ever do that?

Re: Whre is everyone having their REHEARSAL DINNER...
I personally would LOVE to do a bbq. we are getting married july 3rd, and it's just the right time of year for a bbq. But FMIL and FFIL, who are paying for it, would like something nicer. (personally, I would take cheaper over nicer, but that's just me). So it is between the Country House in Stony Brook and Pasta Pasta in Port Jeff.

I'm ALL for just a casual RD. To me, it should be relaxed and fun, and give everone a chance to mingle before the big day.

Re: Whre is everyone having their REHEARSAL DINNER...
We're doing a BBQ (not catered) at FMIL's house. I want something laid back, saw no reason to ask them to spend a lot, and think it will give people more of a chance to get to know each other (our families have never met!). The kids can go out in the yard and play, the older kids can go in the basement and listen to music., they guys can play basketball in the driveway...etc....
