ETA: I almost feel like sometimes if you don't have a certain number of posts there's already this stigma against you. Its not fair!!!

THAT is why I like THIS board better !! =)

I also think that a lot of the girls on the BHB board are getting closer to their dates and stressed out......you know ??

But honestly, this is a CHAT !! - If you don't want to know someone's opinion........DON'T ASK !!!

If I see a post w/ a BM gown I hate or a favor I think is lame, I just don't respond !!

But THEN, they get annoyed if you don't respons !!!

Can't win around here !! Too many women in one place at one time !!

Is it on LIW sometimes people can really be mean? It just seems like sometimes people post and then a whole bunch of people gang up against the person. Has anyone else seen this?

When I used to voice my opinion and it didnt happen to be in perfect agreement with some of the 'older' posters , old timers whatever, they actually used to say things like 'ok newbie' or ' well you'll understand when you get to 1000 posts' ...ummm yeah ok?!?!?

Here's my theory on the drama. It's really hard to figure out the 'tone' of a post because things can be read a lot differently than they would sound if the poster was talking.

For the most part, none of us really know each other outside of posting--like, we don't talk on the phone. When you know someone personally and are accustomed to how they talk, you can kind of figure out the tone of an email or something. Even with people I've known for 10+ years, I can get an email and feel like 'what did she mean by that?'

I also think that you can read what you want to read in a post--so if you're looking for drama or based on someone's previous post you think she's a biatch, you're going to look for that in whatever she posts. So, that's my theory

Yeah! I posted my (negative) experience at a high-falootin bridal shop and I got ganged up on!! I was just looking to see if anyone had a similar experience because I was sad and needing some compassion, and I got some unpleasant responses implying that my impressions were wrong.
