Re: Why?
We just did it because it seems like a good date, not usually too hot and it was after the holiday, so we know most of our friends and family would make it then, also it starts to get a bit slower at work for my fiancee.....

Re: Why?
We wanted fall (not too hot, not too cold). We wanted a holiday weekend b/c we have a lot of OOT guests.
A lot of halls were already booked for Columbus Day weekend when we started looking ...
And November is a slower time for me at work, so that's how we picked!

Re: Why?
MY FH comes from a BIG family and that was the only day that worked for everyone and that wasn't booked at the RH. I guess that's what happens when you decided in February to get married and only give yourself 6 months to plan

Re: Why?
Sidenote: few more posts b4 bed..im obsessed, what can i say.
We chose Aug 07 bc its the best time considering my doctoral program schedule. Besides rest of yr, I have class all through summer. I also love warm weather (Aug isnt usually too hot or cold for me) so we didn't want to do it over winter break next Dec and were too impatient to wait that long anyhow. I happen to have a few wks break b/n summer and fall semester so perfect time for wedding and HM, just worked out!

Re: Why?
We choose September for 3 reasons. 1. Weather is great (not cold, not hot) 2. It's the month we met, and we be on our hm on our 3rd anniversary 3. We are getting married in the mountains, and the leaves will be changing. great for pics

Re: Why?
we chose october bc summer was out bc Anthony sweats with any temps over 65 winter was out bc way to cold for me October was a great compromise and ant's favorite season is fall plus its a hell of a lot cheaper than summer/sept. prices
we're actually getting married on my dads birthday

Re: Why?
We chose October because it has a special meaning to me. My parents anniversary is on October 31 and my mom's birthday is the day after my wedding and since they have both passed it is my way of having them with me.

Re: Why?
In all honesty, my sister got married in May last year and we are so close and do everything pretty much the same (not my choice.....it just happens) so we had to get marred in May too!!!!!

Re: Why?
We picked July because: I love the summer and always envisioned having a summer wedding. That's when I'm off from work because I'm a teacher.

Re: Why?
Wanted a spring or fall wedding b/c of the temperature. Got engaged this past October so Spring 07 was too soon, Spring 08 seemed too far, so we went with Fall 07.
Sept - too many family birthdays and events. Nov - can be cold. So October it was.
Turns out we're getting married on the same weekend we got engaged, one year later

Re: Why?
we ended up in sept 07, mostly because we originally wanted aug 07 (cause we got engaged in aug 06), but by the time we started looking for places, there weren't many options left!

Re: Why?
interesting question. We got engaged in August, and chose February just b/c it was 6 months away which seemed like a good length of an engagement. Now that I remember more clearly, we tried for May....but everything was booked. I wasn't willing to wait too much longer than that to be married......March and April were not an option b/c they represented some difficult times in both of our pasts.

Re: Why?
Timber Point had an open day and gave us a great rate! We first were thinking fall 2007, but then realized that we could do spring 2007 if we rushed and got a reasonable date. We asked Timber Point (and the 3VI) what they had in May, but they didn't have much. They did, however, have June 3rd, and offered us the April rate to take the date. That's how I became a June bride!

Re: Why?
FH and I really wanted a fall wedding. We were looking more into October. But when we went to see Westbury Manor, the ONLY date and time they had open was September 30th at 11:30. which worked out cause we needed a sunday afternoon wedding, and I'm technically not allowed to take off work in September because schools start that month.

Re: Why?
we chose Nov 23 because our 10 year anniversray is Dec 23 (obviously we couldnt have it then) also it is our favorite time of teh year and FH and I thought it would be a good day since most people are off
