Why??

Is it just me or does it seem like Hair and makeup trails are alot for Money? I mean you got to 2 hair trials and you are at $100 and add make up in and you are at $200. I have never spent that much to get my hair done for an occasion in my entire life. Is it simply because you say the word wedding?

i think alot of the wedding hair trials are really expensive. i feel like they should say that a portion of that trail cost should go towards the fee due on the day of the wedding

I completely agree!!!!!!! I am already in about $160 and about spend another $100!! and I haven't even made up my mind regarding who I'm going pick! I think a good rule of thumb should be: if you book me for the wedding, then you can have your trial expense be put towards the overall cost!!!!! I mean you're lucky if you just go to one person and love them, but I am keeping my options open and that is costing me!!!!!!!!! RIDIC!!!

Yes! That's exactly why they rip you off...because they can! They know you'll pay the money, so they really got ya.

This is exactly why I'm dreading hair and makeup trials. I don't want to spend a fortune for a 'what if...' I just might not like the first people I try and it just seems like a big waste.

It's crazy....we are getting quotes now on hair and make up and the prices are insane!! Unless, the powder they are using on my face includes flakes of GOLD, there should be absolutely NO reason, make up should cost $150+. I have paid $60 for an awesome job that lasted all day, I don't know why everything is so extraordinarily inflated because its for a 'wedding'.. pffffffffffhhhhh....sorry for the vent, you must have struck a nerve!! haaaahhaaaaaaa

its totally because of the word wedding. its a bazillion dollar industry! i went to maximus spa/salon today and their makeup trial in their salon is $75 ... but they gave me a coupon for one free!
