About 4 months ago, I emailed my high school teacher to get his address for wedding invitations. Of course I haven't sent them out yet, but I was sending out Save the Dates +++ I wanted to get all my addresses in early.
He never got back to me. I was kinda bummed but whatever, I got over it.
So suddenly he e-mailed me back today! He said congrats, he is catching up on old e-mails, merry christmas, he knows that I emailed him some time ago, but he can't find the original e-mail, and he apologizes. He said 'Congrats, surely you must be married by now!'
But he didn't include an address. Do I ask again? It just seems awkward, like I'm forcing him into giving me an address. What do I say? Or did he just not give it b/c he assumed I am married already? Blah.

Re: why am I always in awkward situations
ehh, if he didnt respond to you from 4 months ago, he may not respond again to your request for his address or, for that matter, his wedding invitation. I'd just leave it alone.
Maybe say, 'Happy holidays to you too. I am getting married next November' or something like that

I would probably not ask for the address again.

I wouldn't ask again. Maybe he felt awkward sending you his address so that was his way to get out of it. How could he forget that you wanted to invite him to your wedding?
