Why Am I Still Up

Why Am I Still Up

This stay up late/sleep late habit is not good. This was my normal routine when I lived in DC, but its going to make my mom nuts. I really need a job.

I'm with you, except for the wake up early part I have such a hard time sleeping.

I'm a nightowl, always have been; My DH is a morning person. Now that I'm in menopause, I really don't sleep that well at night, and so I sleep late in the AM, unless I have an early appt. for my Mom. Mary MOB

My FH is a morning person too. He loves getting up early. He gets so much accomplished before I get out of bed. I live at home with mom and dad though so right now its not an issue. Though he is good about not waking me up when he is around me.

If I have a job I adjust accordingly, if and when I am a teacher I am sure it will change, but I have been a night owl since I started college in 98. I feel I am actually more productive between 10pm - 3am then all day long. Especially with things like video editing (my old job).

My DH grew up on a farm, hence the early bird stuff. Are you looking for a teaching position right now? What are you hoping to find? Mary MOB

Mine is an engineer, he likes to get a jump start on getting stuff done. He doesn't sleep much at all. When we are married I won't be able to lie in bed on the computer (a bad habit by the way). But he works in CT a few days a week, so when he is up there I can.

Yes, I am looking for a position in Social Studies. Adolescent, grades 7-12. Not an easy thing to find right now.

Yeah, we bought a house on LI. Why, with FH working in CT, I am not sure. But he didn't want to even consider settling in CT. It was NY or NJ.

I love Social Studies too and I really believe Social Studies is a subject where the teacher really can make or break the subject.

This Globe fashion12 thing is making me crazy. Client Services needs to do something about it.

That's very interesting!!! Tell me why you feel that way, about Social Studies. I'm so happy for you Michelle, that you have a house!!! I know that's what Donna and Josh, as well as Debi and Fred are aiming for!! Mary MOB

Mary, I figure rather then continue to hijack that poor girls post.... I would answer your question here....

Really?!!!!!!! If you want to tell me about how they do in these other locations, I've got the time!!!! Not sleepy yet!!!!!! Mary MOB

I don't know, everyone has been so different. VT was so casual. There was no real cocktail hour and no fancy tiered cake. They did favors, because her friends have been doing them, but her family thought she was crazy.

The Salem wedding I went to was in a barn with family style service. I wore a casual sundress and fit in fine. It was very low key.

RI in my experience is upscale... they are like NY weddings only more proper. Everything is by old school etiquette. I have been to two that were that way. Though my friend's sister is apparently doing a very low key wedding in RI.

My friend went to a wedding in Northern Mass that was a church and then dinner at a Chinese Restaurant.

I hated Social Studies but I had this horrible teacher. She made our lives miserable on purpose. The teacher I had the year before made it dry. Then I hit 9th grade and had this energetic 2nd year teacher. Her enthusiasm motivated me and I eventually was in the Humanities Honor Society and declared a history major.

We bought a house in Oct. My parents had put some money away for me, plus money my grandparents left me. I could put down most of the deposit and FH could cover the mortgage. So it worked out well. We bought a cute ranch in my hometown. It was in great shape but outdated so we have been working hard on it.

Mary, I think I am going to try to get to sleep. I have a lot going on tomorrow. We are getting FH's tux measurements and going to see Strawberry Fields. Plus Wed is sheets day so I will get thrown out of bed early. By the way I love your flowers. You should check out the DIYs my mom has been up to in my album. You will appreciate them.

Sorry, it takes me forever to type!!!!!
Well, I got married in the basement of our Church, because the new sanctuary was not finished ontime, and my reception was in a firehall, complete with pics of the fire gear!!! I was totally clueless!!!! But my Dad had just died, Mom was poor, and I was not making a lot of $ at the time as a new Graduate Nurse!!!! Reading about everyone's wedding gown experience, reminds me of my own!!!! I bought my gown, by myself, as in no one accompanied me, for about $60!!!!!! Some of my Dh's family, being Amish, did not attend, but others did!!! I think most of the guests came in Church type clothing. It's too bad we don't have an awesome Pa. wedding site like LIW. Perhaps I would learn more about how other Pa. Brides do things!!!!!

I am sure it was lovely. Honestly each PA wedding I have been to was so different. But all much more casual then here, except the one in Allentown, which was at a Country Club and big and formal.
