Why am I such an idiot? I ordered from House of Brides. Please give me some advice.
OK, ladies..... I was stupid & ordered my bm gowns from House of Brides.com in Feb. for my July wedding and I haven't heard anything about them since. I've called & no returned phone calls. I've emailed them & no response yet. I'm starting to freak out. I'm getting married in 55 days!!!!! What the heck am I going to do if they don't arrive on time?

I did call them. I called them 7 times already!!!!!!! I leave message after message & they just don't repsond. I'm seriously starting to freak out!

Keep calling them and I would write or fax them a border line nasty letter if you have their address. If worse comes to worse, you could always buy something off the rack at a store.

Keep calling, but in the meantime definitely check out off-the-rack dresses. Ann Taylor and J. Crew have nice ones.
I would also definitely send them a letter via certified mail.
Did you put the dresses on a credit card? Call your cc company and see if they can dispute the charges for you.

Ok girls! Guess who I just got off the phone with? House of Brides!!!!! I'm still a little shaky because she just kept saying that 'everything looks like it was processed, & we're just waiting now for it to arrive from the manufacturer.'
She said, 'It says it should arrive at your home in the middle to end of June.' Then I almost threw up because I'm getting married the 2nd week of July & when I said 'WHAT? The middle to end of June?'
So, she corrected herself & said it was because of Monday Morning Madness or something & said,'I apologize, I meant the middle to end of May.'
So, I'm just hoping she wasn't lying about that just to shut me up. She said she'd call me back later today to tell me what was happening in the shipping dept. I'll keep you all updated.

You could even mention that you'd 'hate to have to contact the Better Business Bureau' when you speak to her later. I'm sure that will help speed things up

OMG, I made the same mistake! I hate house of brides, I'm just praying everything comes in ok! I was afraid to get too nasty for fear they would screw it up more! I think they only have 2 girls to answer the calls and only 1 knows what she is talking about! As of right now 1 dress came in (a month before they said it would) for my MOH who called a ton of times so that may have helped, another is coming (so they say) & another they cannot find the order even though we have the confirmation!!
One bit of advice if my MOH claimed to get through faster by hitting the ### key alot.
I seriously do not know how they are members of the BBB!?!? I looked at the BBB site though and you can file a complaint against them which I was thinking of doing as it gets closer to the date.
Sorry I cannot help more but GOOD LUCK!!

I filed a complaint with them BEFORE my wedding. Keep on their a$$ES!!! Not to worry either of you, but please keep up with them!!! 2 of my BM dresses came AFTER my wedding. Stay calm and keep on them!!

id call again and get another rep on the line and play dumb and ask when the arrival date will be. ive heard to many horror stories about that place id hate to see you get the short end of the stick. Def keep calling till you get an answer!!!! worse comes to worse you can by off the rack..but i know what bride wants to hear that!! You didnt order your gown there did you??
