i love all of the day after pics, but what is the reasoning behind it? is it an extra w/the photog or did you hire a second? very curious...

I wasn't happy with my proofs so I hired a different photographer to re-do pictures of my DH & I. Some brides do it because it may have rained on their day, or maybe you got married in NYC but wanted pictures in a vineyard, you wouldn't have time to do both on your day... or some brides want 2 different looks, one sexy in a sheath dress with their hair down and one with an updo and a ballgown. There's lots of reasons to do them!

In our case, we want pictures through out the NYC and not enough time to do it the day of. We have those hours included in contract.

Thank you!! I just found a few more in the 'outtakes' that I loved and she's editing them for me, I'm so excited, I have 100 already and now I get 4 more... I'm a picture hog!!

no its extra, they probably won't rob you blind, but they would have to take extra. unless of course if the photographer did an absolute HORRIBLE, PITIFUL job, then i dont think they would charge u extra. . .
some people do them b/c they want more pix, or they just didnt like them or didnt like the style, or there were a few must takes that werent taken .

ohi see...thanks for the info...getting my man to take engagment pics was a half *** hassle b/c he hates pics and i lvoe them...
