Why did you choose your RH

I figured this is a good way for some of us to get close to 1000 posts!!!!

Why did you choose your Reception Hall?

I chose mine because I went to a wedding there once before and the cocktail hour was out of this world and the dance floor is one of the nicest I have seen. Plus the price was unbelievable for everything we are having

we chose CLM because FH and I really loved the idea of a ceremony and reception on the water. We loved the high ceilings and the decor of the place as well as the 'family like' service we recieved when we went!

I thought I was the only person who cared about ceilings Ceilings and rugs were major factors when I looked at RH's haha

FH and I had gone to the restaurant there and absolutely fell in love with the place. He ended up proposing at Carlyle and we knew it had to be there

It was different and I love animals especially penguins! We don't have to decorate much because the aquarium takes care of itself!

We orginally wanted beach....but FH and I like to think outside the box......

oh man i wouldnt look at places with low ceilings and ugly rugs!!

We booked HWC because when we walked in and looked around I could envision 'our day' so vividly, I couldn't stop thinking about it after we left, its so beautiful!

We chose our RH because i loved the outside and inside..the rooms are beautiful, i especially love mine of course! I also really liked the BM we spoke to..really down to earth and very nice..not pushy..i can totally envision my wedding there and that's what i wanted..(Jericho Terrace)

I chose Russo's on the Bay for my RH because thats where I always wanted to get married when I was little and even though I thought my mind might have changed I went to look at 4 other places but when I went to russo's I just felt right at home! Did I meantion that the food is Great!!!

I havent chosen yet but, I am looking at 3 definate places because they have my father's name, first and last, in them. He has passed on so I thought it would be cool to have his name on something.

We picked swan Club because of the beauty inside and out and the PRICE

We picked our reception hall because:

1)Price per person

2)Can afford a Sunday night wedding instead of day

3)Location/distance for our guests..

4)Beautiful indoor chapel for ceremony

5)They threw in some extras

6) Beautiful rooms with white marble and crystal chandaliers

7) handicap accessible (FH's aunt is in a wheelchair)

8) Really impressive when you pull up and enter building. I want guests to be like 'Wow'.

We picked Villa Lombardi's because:
1. The food is amazing and they give you so much
2. The rooms (especially the room where we have our cocktail hour) are GORGEOUS!
3. Our BM was a doll

we choose ours bc we are having both our cocktail & vianese (sp?) hour outside... i thought that the vianese outside by the pool would be something different that people would remember.... and the food is excellent!

Oh and I forgot that when you hold your wedding there a portion of the money goes to the riverhead foundation which is a foundation to help preserve marine animal wildlife on LI and they do environmentla stuff too........................that made me feel good!
