We're both European and very supersticious - 13 is both of our 'bad luck' numbers, we refused to get married in 2013. Nothing against it for other people, just a personal thing.
I am italian and THIS was the only reason why I was not as upset about moving to 2014!! haha
I'm Italian too...isn't 13 supposed to be good luck for Italians? lol
Stinebean - I think the idea of a cake is really sweet!
FH is Portuguese, and I'm Italian. I don't know if the number 13 is good or bad to Italians specifically, I just meant Europeans are generally very supersticious. FH and I have our own individual beliefs and 13 is a bad omen for us.
I think each family has their own superstitions. My family specifically sees lillies as a bad omen, a sign of bad fortune or death. I'm so mad because I love lillies & wish I could use them in my bouquet but my family is stuck on that belief!![]()
Yea for many italians it is lucky. I meant since my family is italian they are VERY superstitious. We were never allowed to go out a different door then the one we came in, my dad was always sticking forks in the front lawn for good weather lol all those typical things most people thing is silly. Personally my family has had a bunch of deaths on the 13th and 25th so it has become a bad omen to do anything with these numbers. Nonno Sal would not approve haha
That sucks with the lilies! They are my absolute favorite. My family specifically hates RED roses and thinks they are the flower of death..but I personally don't like them so I'm ok with it. It is interesting how everyones family has different quirks and beliefs.
