Why do a group of 4 say yes initially....

... and then just tell FH's mother - not US, mind you, a few days before the wedding that 'Sorry - 'he' (whoever he is) can't get off work!'



Don't you think that that warrants a phone call to us, the couple geting married, the ones whose minimum got screwed because of that? I mean - if it was a couple, ok, but a couple with 2 grown kids that we were nice enough to ADD after we invited them because they were upset we left them out (they were at FH's 1st wedding a gazillion years ago)

I mean, I am FAR from the etiquette police, but still - I think that is messed up!!!

Messed up to stress about at 4:30 in the morning, mind you - I had to get up to do something, and I needed to vent - I am going to try to go back to sleep for a few hours....

But look at the bright side, at least now you can have some bridentology girls at your wedding

That's ridiculous especially since you added them on. Who asks for a day off for a wedding only a week before????

LOL! I agree! Any with Bridentology girls there you know there won't be any white socks sticking out in any of your pictures. And you know that there won't be any drama at that table....Unless the bridentologists all decided to wear their Tiaras!

Yeah we got a bunch of those too. THey did't call us, they called my parents. I think all in all we had about 6 people who responded yes that wound up not coming.

It's just rude. I think we should add to our invitations that their meal is being paid for that that they make a commitment to come by responding yes. Unless there is an emergency of course.

I AM GOING THRU THE SAME THING!!!!

We invited my sisters boyfriends parents (because they were very friendly with my family) to our wedding. But since the invites went out and they sent in the RSVP 'yes', my sister and her boyfriend have broken up...and it was an ugly breakup! so now i was left with 'are they still coming?' i made my sister call him to find out and he said 'oh yeah, my mom was gonna call your sister to tell her they're not coming anymore because it would be awkward'. That was last week, still no call as of today! so i scratched them off the list...but i mean come on! be an adult and call me and say you're not coming!!!! i have to pay for that plate you know!!!!

I dont get too annoyed about stuff, but this really did tick me off!!!!

They knew about the wedding a while back....
