This girl I havent talk to honestly in like 2 years just sent me an instant message on AOL To ask me when in June the wedding was so she can make plans to be here. My away message was on.

The way I see it, unless its family or an incredibly close friend (one you see or speak to every day) i would never assume i was invited to someone's wedding. there are a few girls in my office getting married in the next 2 years and yes we are co-workers but i would never say 'hey, enid, where's my invite, it never came in the mail' b/c, of course, the reaction would be 'well, duh, that means your not invited' its a very WTF moment when someone asks you that!!!

Oaks, that is a tough situation. I think I'd stick to the facts (other than 'your boyfriend is a violent drunk and I don't like him). Just explain that you already have plans for the hotel room and the hotel is totally booked up, so you can't add on a room for them, which means they'd have to stay somewhere else-- and that you've already made the schedule with the limo company to just come to that one hotel. She'll probably get the hint right away.

I actually had people that thought they could pass their invitation along. They couldnt make it to my wedding so they invited other people with their invite! I called them and was like 'NO WAY' the invitation was for you, if you cant come then that is it. You may not use it to send someone else.

Now that takes some set!!!

We had this problem with a few people assuming. Basically we just told them 'Oh we would so love for you to be there, but our budget is really tight. We are only invitng family and just a few of our absolute closest friends.' And if they didn't like it, tough noogies!

I had an issue with my brother who wants to bring his girlfriends daughter. I never even met his girlfriend! 'Oh its her first wedding' Sorry, we just dont have any room for one more. He just kept saying well let me know. UGH! I AM LETTING YOU KNOW! GET THE HINT!
