Why do people feel the need

people are idiots, don't let it bother you. I have a few stories that might make you feel better and make you laugh, idk.....


When I first started working in the Emergency department, I was wearing this ginormous scrubs...they were ordered too big for me so I used to keep them in my locker as backup....well, this kid decided to hurl on me, so i needed my backups. So needless to say, they were a little tentish looking.....
I had to assist this doctor (and ortho guy) in reducing someones fracture...he goes to me
'Hi...i am Dr. Stupidface.......thanks for helping, when are you due???'

In which turn I said, 'Hi. Dr. Stupidface, I'm Angela.....thank god you specialize in bones because I am not pregnant.......and the next time you feel compelled to ask a woman when she is due, make sure she is in labor and crowning'





Next story:
When i left the ER and went to the floors, I gained a litttttle bit of weight. Well, this transported goes to me 'you gainin weight girl cuz you look good'
I said 'what raised you?!?!?' and just walked away.

Good for you! That's what I often think of in my head...you can lose weight, but if you're ugly...well, you're ugly, and there's only so much you can do!

Ohh I know exactly what you are talking about.

it's extremely rude. It's like they have nothing better to do then to try to make someone else miserable because they are.

i had an incident happen in our corporate cafeteria. The cahsier asked me if I buy lunch every morning, then proceeded to tell me all I needed to eat was a break, fast and no dinner to lose weight.

I know I'm fat...don't need unsolicited weight loass advice...have been struggling with it my whole life.

Don't let it get you down...just brush it off. I learned to do that.

It's just not as easy as that for some people! People like that need to have weight issues to really understand and have a little sensitivity.

That totally is redic! I don't understand why people feel the need to comment on other people's body in the work place, it is so inappropriate

This past summer I saw a colleague at a conference that I had not seen in a few year , and she said ' damm girl you packed on the pounds' - I said thanks, I couldn't have figured this out myself when I needed to buy new pants ' - f-ing see u next tuesday , I was MAD ,especially since it was like the pot calling the kettle black

DO NOT listen to people like this ! You are working hard , and DO NOT give some dumb twit that power to make you so upset. I think most women who struggle with weight can understand how hurtful that really is , but she isn't worth it. You might want to talk to her about it, tell her how messed up it was for her to say that or be passive aggressive like I am now with this colleague of mine
