I didnt invite him because there are no kids at the wedding my youngest guest is 21! i tried to explain it but she isnt buying it and now is causing drama on facebook! lady you are 40 yrs old grow up!!

Re: why do people have to turn a good day, bad!!!
Hmm... here's what I'm thinking...
Dear _______,
This is a wedding, not a family reunion. I apologize for hurting any feelings; it was not my intention. As you can imagine, this wedding is a huge financial burden on all of us, especially in this tough economic time, and our guest list could not include everyone we've ever known. We had to cut corners or we would end up with 500 people. I am sorry your ex husband is not on the guest list, but I do hope he will not take it personally, and please know if your families would like to reopen the lines of communication, we would be happy to talk in the future.
Love, Bride who doesn't want to deal with your ridiculous b.s.
People like that really piss me off. CLICK IGNORE and move on!

I think she's upset that the 16 year old son is not invited...but she needs to get over it. Just block her on FB and ignore her...she's not going to stop until she ruins SOMEONE'S day.

Just give her a simple explanation again about this wedding costing an arm and a leg and then maybe mention your best friend's kid not being invited either (so what if it's a lie? It might make her feel better). In the end, what will happen if there's bad blood? Probably nothing because you don't talk to them much anyway.
Seriously though, this just made me really angry. How DARE people do that to you! There have been numerous times where family members just ask my parents to go and not the kids. Ugh.

Well well said.
They dont likr it, dont come. 2 less people you have to pay for.
But honestly Sandra's letter really was good. If they dont get it there is nothing you can do. If they are insulted, you only have to see them at the wedding and never again.
Jerks.
