Why do people insist on asking if certain ppl are invited!!!!

One of my friends on Sat at a party put me on the spot in front of everyone asking me if his little sister (20 yrs old) was invited to the wedding. I've known them for a long time but I can't afford to invite everyone in his family. I'm close to him and his brother. So I already have 7 of them that are invited, including the ringbearer who's his nephew. I just said to him that whoever's name is on the invitation thats who's invited. They already know we're spending way too much $$ and can't afford to invite everyone.

This is the same friend last week that assumed that his 2 yr old daughter was coming to the wedding when we said previously that it's an ADULT reception.

I'm just so annoyed!!! Sorry so long!

People are inconsiderate and rude!

I think people just like coming to weddings and don't care who it's for..

That happened to my fi with regard to his bachelor party. And, one guy decided not to come because his older, married with 2 kids, brother was not invited.

spinoff of that problem....people who ask who they are sitting with and actually request to NOT sit with certain people - as if we don't have enough to worry about, we have to plan seating around guests' requests! gimme a break.

I haven't encountered a seating issue yet, I think we will just assign tables and hope for the best.

or another doozie - 'I'll let you know if I'm bringing a guest a few days before.' Um...NO, you need to let me know NOW, I have to give them a final count and do table arrangements and if you don't know already then clearly you aren't dating anyone serious and shouldn't bring a guest! Geez...try to be nice by inviting with a guest and it's not worth it!

Sooooo true. I can't stand them. This guy told me on the phone last night that he is hitching a ride with my aunt. He's not even on my list. He has SOME nerves. I also haven't seen or heard from him in two years.

I had the same problem. Certain people kept asking my mom when they were going to be getting their invitation. First off, they have not even gone out yet and Second, these people were not invited but they put my mom on the spot and they are now invited.

Then what frustrates me more is that, they never really been to a formal wedding and if his sister does come I'm afraid she'll be way too under dressed, I've never seen her really dressed up to begin with.
Plus, they probably think it's some little party and anyone can show up and bring friends too. I rather not deal with people like this and avoid problems.
