Why do people think a verbal RSVP is sufficient??

Seriously, 365 EFFING PEOPLE INVITED to the wedding...I'm supposed to remember when somebody calls me on my way to work, that they are coming???? There is a addresed envelope WITH A STAMP that all they need to do is check off a box and pop it in the mail..... And I said that to the person. Really??

People don't function and some of these people have gone through the same process and planned their own wedding. They should know you need the cards back. The best is when you get a blank response card. Thank God I numbered my responses! One day we will all laugh at this, but at the time it's very stressful.

one word- LAZY.

because they have to write their name and if they are coming and how many guests.. then WALK to the mailbox.

we've had a few 'i can't find the invitation.. thats why we never sent it'... so grab a piece of paper and write down 'ill be there, signed john and marsha'... at least its a physical thing I can look at.

When people tell me that they want to tell me verbally I flat out tell them i'm not counting anyone until I get their card.

i've been telling everyone who's giving me verbal rsvps.. 'no card, no food'. hopefully that'll get them to send it back.

people don't realize the cards help us do seating charts. the next time someone calls you with a verbal rsvp warn them that if they don't send the card you could end up sitting them next to a relative they despise.

Ugh..I got that from a few people. I eventually just scuked it up and marked them as coming. I guess is better than them NOT RSVPing at all!

A few of the guys at DH's job (he works with almost all men) handed him the RSVP. Worked better for me- I cut out the stamp to re-use it!
