Why do people 'Trash' their wedding dress? didnt it cost $$$?

I see a lot of these 'trash the dress' pictures...I may be silly in asking this but why on earth would any bride want to trash a gown that they paid a lot of $$ for? Whats the point? someone enlighten me?

I honstley dont know why, I would never I love my dress!!! If I did do it I would but any $200 dress to trash!
