Really!!! They can make a world wide network of millions and millions of people, places, etc, accessible at the click of a button, they can put a man on the moon - why can't they make friggin paper go through a series of conveyor belts and come out without getting stuck every friggin time!!!

A FOLDING MACHINE??????
Maybe you need to bring it home for the laundry ...
Ooh thread crossovers! what a day! That would jam up big time.
speaking of office technology, I do need to print & fold & then change the magenta toner. I believe this is the exact oen we have. the little basket never catches the paper like that though.
OK so I have been working in offices in NYC for the pat 15 years, yet I've NEVER seen a copier quite like that... where have I been??
But its no wonder you get angry at your copier!!!
no , no, no , that's the folding machine! it is the copy machine's evil step-sister!

Re: Why do photocopiers suk???
why thank you for your detailed explanation, Heather..
yet i still see no point in the folder -- then again since I am just as bad of an office worker as I am a non-domesticated housewife, this hardly should surprise anyone
I cannot even attempt to keep up with the original thread, so I will just throw in my here and actually try to get back to maintaining my employment

Re: Why do photocopiers suk???
Aren't you a legal secretary? The nasty lawyerses don't make you you fold stuf for them? We print our own fliers on 8.5 x11 paper & then use the machine to fold them into 3rds, to make it look like we are a real company.
I supposed it would work for stacks of letters as well.

yes you are correct, I pretend to be a legal secretary, though we have never been given such fancy schmantzy items such as 'folders' to do the same job these lawyer-types believe our own fingers and hands can accomplish
also certain types of legal documents aren't meant to be folded, so we just slip them flat into large 8 1/2x11 envelopes ...
but hey, who knew I would learn something new today on LIWs??
