Okay so last night FH and I get home and we are soooo happy and proud of ourselves because we booked a photorapher and a DJ. I call my mom and she is very happy for me and glad to hear I'm a little less stressed now. Then FH calls his mom and you can hear that she is bringing him down. She's upset b/c we downgraded the parent's album and she's not sure we went with the right dj b/c we signed so quickly...GRRRRRRR Why can't they just let us enjoy and be happy??? It is OUR day right?????????

You shouldnt let them get to you - and if there gonna act that way - you should leave them out of the info - if i got that kind of response - i wouldnt be sharing information any more!

Yes, it is your day and just remember that. It is and should be your decision on what vendors you are using for your wedding. Just try to blow her off and not let it bother you.

Sorry to hear about it. As long as you guy's are happy thats all that matters. Their's always some one right their trying to burst your bubble. I'm sure she'll get over it.

That is definitely how I felt and I let him know that when he got off the phone last night, b/c we both got sooo upset after the call. I don't want to upset him b/c it's not fair to him and I know he wants his mom involved, but my emotions can't take it

Sorry to hear this, I hate it when I get soo excited about a vendor and someone has to put them or me down. This is why FH and I make all the decisions when booking our vendors and we get no family involved. Its your weddings not theirs

I am so sorry that you feel this way. I just recently found a favor that I thought was original and I like it so much, and I told someone at work and she really did not like it, so now I am doubting myself. Try not to let it bother you, like I am going to---but I know it is hard.

This is exactly it, as much as I am happy with my choices I want reassuring responses not doubtful or negative feedback. It's not like any of this is cheap so you want people to agree with your decisions so that you don't 2nd guess yourself...

It could be worse. You could have my MIL who told DH she was disgusted with the wedding the day after it and SHE should have planned the whole thing instead of me.
Bottom line. It is YOUR day. Only yours and your FHs happiness matters. Most of the vendors we met with we booked on the spot because I did a lot of research. You don't need to meet with 25 vendors to know you've got the right one. You CAN make cuts where you see fit. On the wedding day, you will only notice your FH and the smile on his face. Nothing else will matter. DO NOT let anyone else bring you down. This is a very special time in your life and you deserve to enjoy it!
