WHY does it take so long

for your wedding dress to come in?? I wish I had it now...I guess it's better that I don't because then I might wear it to work or to the the supermarket or something

I heard a rumor about this. But I don't know if its true.

Supposedly the manufacturer's wait until they have a bunch of orders in the same size, so they can set the machines to that size and make a bunch of dresses at once. I guess that saves them money, and by telling us that it takes 6 months, it gives them that window to get their orders in.

Like I said, this theory makes sense, but it could just be a rumor.

mine took 8 months...and i think that it can take a long time.
think about all the weddings that go on all over this country
as well as others...

another thing that takes time is if the material has to be shipped from another country. when i was looking, the war in Iraq was starting and the dress shops all warned me that it might take a little longer for the dress to come in because they were having trouble getting material quickly.
Also, it's not a first-come first serve basis generally. If you order your dress before someone else, but your wedding is after their's....your's will be made after them
