Why does it take so long for me dress to come in??
I ordered my dress in September and I call Burtons and all they can say is 'Don't worry'
I am worried. I thought my fittings should start in August.
I haven't even visited the dress at all. I hope I still like it!

Dont worry yet. My dress just came in recently and I viewed it yesterday. kleinfeld's told me that alterations should start six weeks before the wedding date which gives you some time yet.

Mine's not in either. It was ordered at the end of december and my mom keeps telling me to call but I;m sure they have no idea. so for right now I'm just waiting

The reason it takes so long is because the designer goes by wedding date...they do the dresses in order of date. Dont worry it will probably come in at the end of this month.

It takes a while bc they usually go by date. It should be here soon. If your wedding is in October then you have nothing to worry about.

you can add me to the list of 'still waiting' and i ordered my dress last september too! 55 days and counting. . . it was supposed to ship yesterday (july 14) though, so we'll see. i'll be calling them tomorrow

Don't worry at all. Most stores order the dress so that it comes in about 2 months before your wedding. Mine came in right around the 2 month mark (a bit later). That's PLENTY of time for fittings, etc. If it comes in too soon, they have to store it and it's too soon for alterations.
It'll be fine! If it's September and it's not in, that's when I'd start to worry.
