After the last house we were in contract in fell through, I'm anxious that this house we found won't even make it to contract!
I call my lawyer's office 2x a day to see if she's heard anything. She says that the seller's attorney is waiting for paperwork from the seller. UGH.
What's taking so long???? I hope he's not trying to waste time to see if another buyer comes along.

Don't worry, after we signed the contract it took a week and a half to get the sellers signed copy back. We were worried also. It takes time for the seller to meet w/ the lawyer and review it and to send it back to your lawyer. We got ours Tuesday. Now is the torturous long wait to close. It is a long process. Good Luck!!!!

We brought the engineer in on Tuesday and the contracts are in for us already, I have to go sign them tonight. Does it normally take longer?

We had our engineer come in on Sunday and we're signing the papers this Saturday. I'm HOPING to be in contract by next week sometime.
it does take a long time in some cases with attorneys and getting everyone's schedules together.

Try not to get to worried just yet! It took us over a month to go to contract b/c our sellers lost the house they were buying and wouldnt sign until they had a new house.,
