Because most stations play only the songs the record companies pay them to.

I stick with NPR and whatever I download because what radio plays is just THAT bad.

I Have Been Saying That FOREVER about New York Radio. They don't give a cr@p about listener loyalty, NOTHING. And now some stations have gone completely Jock-less. Great. Put a computer on shuffle. That shows love and craft.

Right?! I still remember the day I turned on the radio and Spanish music came out of 92.7
Can you pick up 107.1? Is it the same?

they feel the need to entertain us with jokes and other stuff...i need music, not prank phone calls (at least play good pranks)

107.1 USED to be the same, but the management flipped the format again. Now 107.1 plays standards - lite listening, that sort of thing.

I only listen to the radio on my way into work. I like the talk shows. I never turn on my radio otherwise.... same old krap
