WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING TO ME!

I am SSSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FURIOUS! This keep happening to me! About 6 months ago, I called the church to talk to my priest, and guess what, he left the priesthood! So we got another priest...I call him up a month ago and....he's leaving the church JUNE 29TH and they don't know who is going to do my wedding! They never even called to tell me! AND NOW!!!!!! FH calls Pedestals to make an appointment with Joseph, and guess what....HE NO LONGER WORKS THERE! So they stuck us with someone new...but what if I don't like her! What if she isn't good????????????? I specifically went with Pedestals cause I loved Joe! I can't believe noone even called to tell us! Has this happened to anyone else?

Yes! It so hard...part of the reason you book with these people is because of the person you spoke with!
First...our hall WM...we booked with Gennaro, he's left with all the changes...now were with Jerry, so that's good. Then with our flowers...again, with the changes at WM, PWP is no longer affiliated with WM, so they're transferring our order to the inhouse florist...We ADORE Christopher Manuel...now we've got...

So sorry you are stressing!
It's terrible you have to worry about people leaving when I'm sure you hve other things to worry about.
I'm sure it will all work out! Try not to stress!

JMO: We book something according to the work not b/c of their personality. Yes, their personality helps the process go along smoothly, but in the end, if the person you were dealing w/left, remember that they worked for that company for a reason and a REPRESENTATIVE for that company. If the company hired them and kept them, I'm sure they would uphold the requirements and specifications. Give credit to the organization they belong to. Keep your head up - Pedestals does amazing work (even thought I had a negative experience with someone there - we didn't book b/c of the $$$) - but in the end that person is not the eone in the back on the day of your wedding making the flowers themselves. Don't forget - they're SALESPEOPLE and it's their job to sell their personalities in the end!

As far as the priests leaving - my church goes through that constantly. One got promoted to a Bishop and another retired (didn't even know priests retire.) Who knows who'll we have the day of the wedding - but we're getting married and that's all that really matters.

On the priest issue, you could always bring in your own. My pastor retired before our wedding and I have no idea about the new. Plus there was no guarentee that he would do the ceremony- I could have gotten stuck with a visiting priest who didn't even speak English well!
So I contacted my priest from my high school from 17 years ago. And guess what he was thrilled to do it. I will probably have to pay him extra but I know he will be there unless something horrible would happen which of course I pray it doesn't.
