Why don't thank you cards

Get lost in the mail? Think about all the worrying we did when our invitations went out and how frustrated we got when we found out that some people didn't get them! You never hear anyone talking about thank you's getting lost! Does the post office try to torture us on purpose?

Just some thoughts on Valentines day while I'm working on some of my (long overdue) thank you's and waiting for DH to get home from work later :)
