Why I love FMIL

Why I love FMIL

FH told me that FMIL was on the phone with an aunt of her's who is coming to my shower and said something along the lines of 'I'll get her something from Macy's...' (as in something cheap, ugly, on sale, with 20% off coupon). FMIL said 'Oh no you won't! Yo will get her something off her registry!' (@ BBB or honeyfund.com) She was telling this to someone who, for our eparty, got us some ugly casserole server from Macy's that we just returned at got like $19.99 or less for it. Honestly, if all you want to spend is $19.99 then spend that much on something I actually want! I wonder what the guest who got us a can opener for our eparty will get us...

I had my e-party at flowerfield and got a chicken soup book from one of my bridesmaids and her date.
I also got a bottle of $14.99 wine from another friend who also brought a date.

REALLY PEOPLE!

every bride has someone like this....

at our eparty, from an entire family of 5 (4 of which attended) we got a $25 gift- she left the price tags on it.

I would call them out and be like, 'OMG! I think someone must have took or tampered with my envelopes. Did you write me a check as well as giving us a box of cheerios? No? Oh ok. Glad to know no one took our envelopes.'

At our E-party, one of FH's friends ran out of tip money for the bar, so he opened our gift envelope, took cash out and tried to re-seal it. So our gift from him and the ripped and wrinkled card was $60. Not $50 or $75....$60. LOL Which was fine by us, but the re-sealed envelope was hysterical...

Go FMIL!!!

I've had many, many odd and cheap gifters and many no-gifters. At least FMIL is on your side!
