Why I love photoshop... (and Angelica Glass...)

OK, so Angelica Glass did my day after shoot. She gave me 100 edited proofs & then ALL the 'outtakes'... So I was going through the outtakes while looking through pics to FINALLY give my videographer and found a picture I really liked but my eyes were open, and I was thinking 'I'd LOVE this pic if my eyes were closed...' So I photoshopped them closed

...so I love photoshop because now I have another pic I love, and I love Angelica for obvious reasons

These are some of the other pics she had in the 'outtakes' that I happened to love, so I wound up with even MORE pics that I thought originally. There's still like 15 pics I haven't uploaded yet.

no matter how the end result is achieved, (using photoshop or not), her work is GORGEOUS!! I love it!! It's too bad she was booked for my date!

I LOVE your day after pics!!!! They are AMAZING!!!!!
Everytime I look at them I get chills they are sooo pretty!! It makes me want to do a day after shoot and I haven't even had my wedding yet!!!

I gotta tell you, when I saw that picture originally, I thought the same thing! I thought it was great, but would be perfect with closed eyes! Wonderful pic!

I'm still green with envy.

I'd love to pick Angelica's head one day. I'm pretty sure this effect can be gained by using a polarizing filter on the camera lens, but if she did it with PS, I'd love to know how:

And two things I always wanted to know Kitty - did you have your hair like that the day of your wedding? Because I totally would have done that instead of what I ended up with. I love the criss cross on the top.

And two - where were those pictures taken - did you find that place or did she?

I can't believe I've never asked you this before.

1. My hair was exactly the same except since I wasn't going to put a veil on, Maria did that 'criss-cross' thing which she didn't do on my wedding day because of the comb on my veil.

2. We found it - It's a park that Dean and I go to all the time.

3. I am HONESTLY not sure if this was a different lens or photoshop because she was changing the lenses every 2 minutes but I don't recall her changing the lens here.... AND I have the EXACT same pic with 'normal' light. I will ask her…

Here they are side by side… If you click on them back and forth in my album they look like they are the exact same shot, like I don't think Dean and I moved at all... if she had changed lenses we probably would have moved.

Oh, you don't have to ask her, that's ok! That might be a strange question because many photographers don't share their trade secrets, and don't appreciate being asked!

But seeing those pics side by side, you're right, it might be a filter in photoshop. Now I'm going to go home tonight and look for the effect.
