Why is finding a RH so hard?

If you are getting married in Dec. 2010, you have quite a bit of time., I only spent 2-3 weeks looking at Reception Halls on Long Island/Queens and booked one only this past week.

Among those I saw were:

- Westbury Manor (this was my 2nd choice but I wanted a Friday night wedding and they had a late start for the day I wanted)
- Riviera (Massapequa)
- Coral House
- Manor East (Massapequa)
-Swan Club ($$$ but gorgeous view!)
- Sans Souci (its basically a house and more appropriate for small weddings)
- Woodlands (Westbury)
-Crest Hollow Country Club (Westbury)
- Fox Hollow (Westbury)
- Douglaston Manor (gorgeous but they have several weddings at the same time and the staff seemed short on service)
- George Washington Manor (appropriate for small weddings)
- Leonards of Great Neck (great for large weddings)
- Russo's on the Bay (Howard Beach, Queens).
- Verdi's (Westbury)

Others you might want to look at:

Smithtown Landing Country Club

also

River on the Lake (or Lake on the River? (Suffolk County)

There are also more listings if you hit any Bridal Shows in the NY/LI area which have more I may have left out above.
