I am seriously considering booking there, but it seems a little too good to be true.
Does anyone have any opinions on why they charge such a low amount???

I dont really remember what the menu package included but I do remember finding a few things I didnt like abut the place but some of the reasons were just personal. Try ad do a search on the review boards to get some opinions and past reviews

IMO that's not cheap either. I'm paying less than 1/2 of that per guest for a top menu in high season. You must figure in taxes and gratuity and do the math. Don't think per person. If you are having 200 people that's... $21,400 for reception alone... not including taxes, gratuity, and everything else... that's my entire wedding budget. Do you get flowers or anything else with that price? If you have a $45,000-$60,000 wedding budget then ok. I guess cheap is a relative term. Just think big picture. I think a lot of people go over their budget because they don't multiple the per person cost.

I don't that's cheap at all. That's really about average for Sat nite in the Spring if not a little above average. Do a search for Hearzbellz, I think she got married there.

I'm paying 105 pp and I think it's A LOT well, that is for a March wedding
and you're looking at like 2 years ahead, so you'll get the 2004 prices

Hi 2006--personally, it was my second choice of reception spot (I went with the Woodlands). I think it's less expensive just because they don't have the rep of say, a Carlye or Carltun. One of the reasons why it was my second choice (I mean, that it was such a good option) was that my parents had been there a few years ago and raved about it incessantly. I thought the ballroom was set up nicely (better than the Woodlands, in fact). When it came down to it, though, it just wasn't 'the place' for me. Good Luck!

I am getting married there as well and in love with the place too!!!
I think that the price of the harbor club is consistent with other reception halls that put on an elegant affair....
the bonus is that there is great service, only one wedding at a time (BIG THING FOR ME) and i have food are terrific!!!!!!! (my best friend was at a wedding there on saturday night)

I don't think that's cheap!!! And I know they charge 20% tip instead of the 18% that most halls charge...

The price is not cheap. I'm assuming you meant that it is cheap compared to other halls you are looking at. I went to a wedding there two years ago and liked that place a lot. Great food and service; beautiful view. Good luck in your search

OK ! im not snotty or bitchy or nothing but i had to reply: me and my friend went last night to the harbor club....
1. its dirty soo dirty the floor my foot was sticking so bad
2. the parkinglot is all holes and dirt
3..... ITS MORE EXPENSIVE THEN CHATEAU LA MER AND WATERMILL!!!!!!!
4.. they never heard of a chocolate fountain
5.. same owners as john anthonys
6.. and the worst... im booking a friday night, my best friend is booking a sunday...
and he goes to me infront of her... friday night is the best night to have a party because everything is sooo clean and the staff is ready to go and by sunday everything is dirty again... i just looked at her and i was waiting for him now to turn to her and give her a price quote for a sunday....!!!! im sorry but seriously come on if ur gonna be the most expensive at least clean and have a staff that doesnt get lazy after 2nights...
