Why is it so hard to get a good make-up artist!!! ?
Tell me why!! Grrr, I had three trials, and was not 100% pleased with any. One was too little make-up, another too much. I just want to use my normal colors, and have them put on professionally. Why is that so hard? Everyone keeps giving me black smokey eyes.. I never do that, and I don't want that for me wedding. My skin is clear pasty white. It is not a black and white wedding. Has anyone else experiences this?

I have asked specifically for 'natural' make-up. I told the MU artist was I was looking for. Dramatic 'understated'.
I am sorry it did not workout for you.
Who did you have a trial with?
I booked m i a from Bridal l ounge. She did exactly what I wanted.

Have you tried Jacqeline Nicole or Oksana? I would recommend them both.

Try oksana, I ma the same way , Im not big on makeup & told her I wanted a natural look,, & thats exactly what she did,, even after i posted the pics, everyone's response was very natural,, try her ,,

Did you show them any pictures of what you wanted? I showed my MU artist a pic and she nailed it.

I am having the same problem....I cannot afford to keep spending all this cash for make up that I hate. I have another trial this evening and then I may have to seriously consider doing it myself.
I am really not interested in doing that.
I also think that I am not asking for the right thing. Last night was a nightmare.....FM for info...
What specifically should I say. I thought a picture would help but she then tried to emulate a look on me that just did not work out. i figured she would tweak it to fit.
Also I feel like pictures of past brides are so polished. I wondered if at their trial they felt as good about the make up as they did on the day of. I just feel like it doesnt look crisp and fresh.

You know what, I haven't tried any of the vendors, but now I am thinking maybe I will. I brought pictures of Eva Longoria. Needless to say, I did not look like her afterwards. I thought they would tweak the make-up to fit me, but they didn't.

I don't know how much you want t spend but I uses Anne DeMarco and I loved her. For her to come to your house (or wherever you are getting read) it is $250 for airbrushing amd $150 for traditional. it is cheaper if you go to her.

definitely try for oksana if she's not booked already
my sister used melinda, she's a vendor on here and she was great too.

I love Jackie from I Makeup You www.imakeupyou.com *if you want to see pictures of my makeup from her from my brother's wedding FM me, my sister and I both booked her on the spot! and she has a great hair girl too! I was a BM and the makeup was $95 for airbrushing
