Why is it SO HARD to get tickets to a hot concert??

Seriously, do they have professionals who sell on ebay - who have rigged phone lines that dial every 30 seconds into every ticketmaster number in the northeast?

I don't get it. I got lucky - got 2 tickets - but tried like a b#st@#d for a solid hour - 2 phone lines - 2 internet windows....

there's gotta be something going on here...

There are a ton of people who want to go and only a certain number of telephone operators taking calls. Plus, it takes about 5 minutes to process each order, so an operator is only taking about 12 calls an hour. That's not a lot when you consider how many people are calling in.

Plus, with press holds, venue holds, band holds and giveaways, there are a lot less tickets on sale than you think.
