Your date is perfect in that the fall flies by because of the holiday's and then before you know it, January is here and then you are getting married in a month!!! It will be here before you know it!

I know!

I really have no idea why I am so calm about it.

I guess I kinda feel it's going to happen, and there is nothing I can do if things don't go perfectly. IMO, there is no need to stress about it..... it's one day..... he'll be my husband every day FOREVER regardless of whether or not my hair turns out sh1tty, or the flowers are the wrong color!

i absolutely agree. Joey and I were talking about that last week. he was like, are you going to be bridezillaish if things go wrong, I was like, um, no. it would be silly of me to expect everything to go perfectly and let ANYTHING ruin that day. I said as long as you show up and someone is there to marry us, it's ALLL GOOD!!!

i agree with you guys. it is just one day. and if things go wrong- which i know they will i can't help it. i dont even think i want to know about it unless its like well the food is cold and no one is eating it you know. but Fh will be with me hte rest of my life- god bless him and the wedding day is just one day!

haha I AM THINKING THE SAME THING danielle.

I am amazed how many have florists booked as well as their dresses and Bridesmaids dresses.

When I booked my florist she said she wasnt even taking 09 brides since she doesnt have an 09 calendar. She thought it was crazy 09 brides were calling her.

And about their dresses= styles change as well as your taste. So I would never get my gown with more than a year and a couple months away from my wedding. I am starting to look now and I am getting married right after you Danielle. And sure I feel behind but I think it is ridiculous to have a gown as soon as I was engaged- especially since I am so indecisive. JMO! haha

Yeah, I know. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but when I go over there I feel like I don't have enough done!! I was starting to panic and then I thought, you have a year, relax!!!

yeah i am not saying its a bad thing exactly...but when i look at our date i think- well i still have a year! i can get the things done that need to be done. i mean sure some fo it might stress me out since i am going to school and working and looking for another or new job haha but hey if i want this wedding i will make it work

Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE is surprised at how laid back I am about the whole thing...... I think it has to do with getting older and growing up, too. If I had married 5 years ago, I would have been the biggest bridezilla on earth!

um, yeah, i could have seen that.

Oh and just a quick trip down memroy lane, I was talking to someone about our poetry class at St. Joe's and I remebered that coo-koo teacher who said, 'Amanda, you missed 13 classes' and then you convinced her that you didn't. I can't believe that she believed you!! SHE TOOK ATTENDANCE AT EVERY CLASS!!! lol!

HA HA HA HA HA....... I got away with MURDER in college.

I remember I took a Death and Dying class..... and I missed 1 class, I told her I had a drs. appt.

She was such a b1tch, she asked for a note.

I worked for a psychologist at the time. So, I got a note.

I pulled her outside and gave her the note. She felt like an a$$hole, and apoligized.

Wait, were you in the Advanced survey with me when she came in drunk and they fired her? That class that semester was a JOKE. I actually FOUGHT my grade because I got a B -- I had an A average, btu we had like 4 substitute teachers -- I can't remember her name for the life of me...

if it were up to me i might have done that so i shouldnt laugh but i wanted to wait until we set a definite date and FH could come home and help out with the decisions on booking each vendor.

but sometimes i wonder where the fun in the whole planning process is when you book everything 2 to 2 1/2 years in advance. cause when yuo are done a year before your wedding or even almost 2 years before your wedding what do you do till then haha JMO

Re: Why is it that

sorry heather hope i didnt come off rude. i am just saying that i probably would have done that as well if i didnt have fh to knock me in the head and say we have plenty of time haha

but to each their own. i guess for some people it is better to book everything because of scheduling like you said Danielle- your friend is a teacher and doesnthave time during the year!

Re: Why is it that

i planned my entire wedding within the first six months of my engagement and i am so glad that i did - i am SO OVER the wedding planning at this point that i swear if i had to book anything it would just never get booked and i wouldnt even have like flowers or limos or something!

it depends on your personality - i am anal and like to have everything done early

some girls need to feel a little pressure!

no matter what, in the end the product is the same: a wedding!
lol

That is what is weird about the whole thing. I like EVERYTHING done early. But for some reason, I can't book anything, buy anything until I really think about it. I get scared that I am going to find something else or make a bad decision. I NEVER have this problem!!! I don't know what happened to me!

I am the same way - i'm done with all I can do now.... I just have that nagging 'you're forgetting something' feeling and it's not going away.

I'M very impatient too...that doesn't help...but i have a crazy busy month....

Wedding in Chicago this weekend that i'm in...so i'll be gone from Thursday to Tuesday.

The 16th is my hair & makeup trial (hair girl wants to give my makeup a shot, i said okay, it's free).

The 18th is our e-pics (i'm totally freaking out about those).

The 22nd is my makeup trial with my Mary Kay lady...i'm excited about this...

honestly, i have not doubted any of my choices. i booked my vendors one at a time - only visiting one or two vendors in each category - and then i never looked back!

ha ha people hate me, my mom can't stand to shop with me bc i will love the first dress i see and then be done - and she is so indecisive

the only decision i regretted was buying my dress where i did but only bc it closed - there is no way i could have known that and now it is taken care of anyway
