i planned my entire wedding within the first six months of my engagement and i am so glad that i did - i am SO OVER the wedding planning at this point that i swear if i had to book anything it would just never get booked and i wouldnt even have like flowers or limos or something!

it depends on your personality - i am anal and like to have everything done early

some girls need to feel a little pressure!

no matter what, in the end the product is the same: a wedding!
lol

That is what is weird about the whole thing. I like EVERYTHING done early. But for some reason, I can't book anything, buy anything until I really think about it. I get scared that I am going to find something else or make a bad decision. I NEVER have this problem!!! I don't know what happened to me!

honestly, i have not doubted any of my choices. i booked my vendors one at a time - only visiting one or two vendors in each category - and then i never looked back!

ha ha people hate me, my mom can't stand to shop with me bc i will love the first dress i see and then be done - and she is so indecisive

the only decision i regretted was buying my dress where i did but only bc it closed - there is no way i could have known that and now it is taken care of anyway

Right. Once I booked I wa slike, omg, I made the BEST decision. I'm going to order my dress in the next month and the BM dresses in January, and as soon as FH is done skydiving on the weekends, we are going to book a DJ and then the major stuff is done.

I did my vendors the same way, one catagory at a time and only saw like 2 or 3 of them. I fall in love with things quickly. So I can relate!

Mine is in less than 6 months, and I'm in the same boat.

OMG, less than 6 months -- I'd be crapping bricks...

i was the same way... i did a lot of research before hand.. and knew what i wanted.. I only went to 1 RH and 1 Florist... i knew i wanted duet for photos so that was easy... and with everything else i never went to more than 2 or 3 places. I mean don't get me wrong.. i sit there sometimes and over think it ..like OMG you've only been engaged a few months.. you should look around more.. blah blah.. but i know i fell in love with these places and vendors for a reason... i knew going into the meetings that i liked them and if i went 50 different places i'd just make myself nuts trying to decide..
I'm very happy that now the only things i'm worrying about are my dress, BM dresses and hair and make up... and of course invites... but i feel like the big pressure to get the major stuff done is gone and it def. makes me more excited about doing the other stuff. There's less stress!!
