My shower is on the 27th and seriously nothing is moving. A few things were bought but I know who bought them.
Plus I know a bunch of people haven't even responded and the rsvp deadline is on Thursday.
We only invited like 40 people I thought it would be better just close family and friends but now I feel like I am going to have noone there.
Is that a really small amount of guests at a shower?
I do not know why I am stressing over this.

Don't worry people alwyas wait till the last min to get gifts. probably this weekend and next alot will come off.

My theory is that people usually buy within two weeks of the shower...some the very day of the shower.
Don't worry your registry will get bought up soon.

Do not worry. Most people buy things last minute.....people also suck and don't RSVP until the last minute. This is not just experience from my own shower, but from all my friend's showers as well.
You will get plenty of stuff!!!

I wouldnt worry. Most people are last minute shoppers.. and many people dont RSVP. I would have a BM or who ever is hosting the shower call those who did not RSVP since they may have forgot too. 40 people is a pretty good amount.

Dont worry... like everyone said, people are last minute shoppers.... and having a small bridal shower is perfectly fine... it is what makes you happy that matters the most!!!!

everyone's situation varies but it turns out towards the end a lot of stuff on my registry was discontiuned or backordered so it really didn't give many people options to purchase items.. i also got a lot of money and gift cards (people were very generous with that)-
considering I did get a good amount of gifts there are last minute shoppers out there!

try not to stress...even though it is easierr said than done...i think people, including myself, wait til the last minute to buy shower gifts...or evewn a week before...and you still have time for your guests to do that....

Yea I think everyone's right, I usually go shopping the day before a shower never earlier than that, i'm a procrastinator

i'm guilty of last minute shopping myself...for almost EVERYthing!! i think a lot of people are.
don't worry, your shower will be beautiful, the people you love will be there, and you will get lots of nice gifts!

Thanks guys, I guess it is so hard for me to undes=rstand because I am so anal and prepared and do everything early.
I rsvp the day I get the invite and I always have a gift atleast 2 weeks before. I know I am soo screwed up

dont worry! i think 40 people is fine! thats probably what ill have at my shower. i think they are inviting around 50-60ish so ill probably end up at about 40 too

Thing will come off You will have a great day!!!! Some of the best gifts I got weren't even on my registry too- so that's something to look forward to also (homemade & lingerie!!)

Wait until the weekend before your shower- sunday night go peek and alot of stuff will be gone - and then a lil more each day leading up to it!
I had about 45 at my shower and i have a ton of presents! - just give it a little more time jess!

I can saw as a last minute shopper.. there have been times i have bought the day before.. even the day of. So I am trying to not peek until closer... at least I am trying..lol.
& my invite is going to be around 40. I didn't want to kill my family with the party, since they are throwing it for me..lol
