ladies.....does anyone have any suggestions on what catering hall allows only wedding ceremonies. I already booked my reception hall and i don't want my wedding ceremony there due to many reasons (i.e time limit). I checked out and called soooooooooo many places and NOT one will let me have only the wedding ceremony there. I might as well cancel my wedding then
p.s i can't have it at a church due to different religious beliefs...and i did like how the temple looked from the inside. So i'm stuck having it in a hall. I prefer it outdoors, but also want back up indoor accommodations just incase it rains.

Re: Why is this so difficult???
Did you try a park where you can have a tent in case of weather issues?
It's a little pricey I'm sure, but I have yet to hear about a catering hall that would allow you just the use of their facility for the ceremony and not the reception.

I agree with Christine. I do not think any Catering halls would allow you to do this.
How about the Historical Chapel in Woodbury or the Interfaith Chapel at NYIT?

I work at a catering hall, and to save you time, none will allow you to use their facilities if your reception isn't.
Maybe try a hotel

I agree with these ladies, no catering hall will allow you to have the ceremony without the reception.
Marcy Studios in Bklyn has a little chapel in their studio, you can contract them. But of course you may run into the same problem if you do not use them for your photographers. I'd say your best bet is a hotel or park.
Good luck!!!!

You can look into having your ceremony at the Bayard Cutting Arboretum.
There are a few restrictions, but it may work for you.
Planting Fields is also really nice. My brother recently got married at Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Saddle Rock (I think) - a unitarian church in Manhassat. They do interfaith marriages and they have beautiful grounds that you get to take pics at.

With reagrds to Marcy's chapel. You don't need to use their photographers in order to use the chapel. You can contact Chuck or Gloria and speak to them about this.
