I called a few people to find out about RSVPs and they said, 'Oh yeah you know were coming' I shouldnt have even spent the extra money on the RSVPs. I was so worried about 'etiquette' but half the people on my list dont even know what that means. My mothers co-worker who just had her wedding last summer knows how stressful it is to plan a wedding and hasnt responded yet either. People make me so sick and annoyed.

yeah tell me about it tomorrow is my RSVP date and I am missing 25 actual RSVPs - not sure how many people that will come out to bc i dont feel like figuring it out LOL
i am starting to call on TUESDAY i dont care if i am supposed to wait a few days, i am annoyed
i swear i wish i had the balls but i wish that i could NOT call and just not make them a placecard adn then if they show up just tell them that i ASSUMED they werent coming. . . but of course i dont want the aggravation on my wedding day

That does sound annoying. They should still send them even if you know they are going. That is just rude. It's annoying that you have to call people to make sure they rsvp, you shouldn't have to do that you have enough to worry about!

i ahte when people do that...my MOH just had her wedding and her daughters first bday......she had people that didnt rsvp to those its so annoying! i think im gonn add on the invite...if i dont get your rsvp i will assume you are not comming!!!

ugh...i hear you. I had to call several people MULTIPLE times. It was so annoying. I had people say, 'Oh...i thought if you don't mail it back, it means we ARE coming'. And then another bunch who said, 'oh, i thought if you don't mail it back, it means we're NOT coming'.
I was like...why do you think there is an accepts/decline area then?!!!

It really is so aggravating. Ive been in the worst mood thinking about it.FH is like screw them then we'll assume they arent coming. But we cant do that. We'll have a line of people outside the reception hall saying, 'We thought you knew we were coming!

Can you please??? I think you should do that. I wish I would have written that in fine print on the bottom of the RSVP. If I could do it again I would put
*If I do not receive this by the due date, it will be assumed youre not coming and a place will not be reserved for you
and
*No substitutions. If your significant other can not attend with you, you can not try and find someone else to take their place.

Your wedding is even closer than mine. I guess Im not alone in this. I wish people would be more sympathetic to what were going through.

I was actually thinking about this recently. There are so many inserts in invitations and each costs at least another $1 per invite. I was actually thinking of having the church and reception on the invite together instead of having a separate reception card. Then I won't care so much about the response cards.

ugh i am so nervous about this! if people do not send the rsvp cards back to me i am going to go ballistic!! i spent lots of money to stamp them all for everyone so all they have to friggin do is check off who is coming and throw it in the mail.... they better!!! sorry youre having this problem with your guests though hun

If its any consolation momma, Im gonna be faced with the same thing. Theres alot of Aunts, Uncles and Cousins on Juans side that dont really 'get' the whole idea of RSVP cards...they just assume your asked to come and then you come....they dont get the whole formal ediquette of it, and Im struggling with that trying to explain it, when i know damn well they're not gonna mail it back anyway....its frustrating

im totally not looking forward to the RSVP part. I've had numerous parties before and its always the same thing... tracking down people b/c the concept of the rsvp is too difficult for them to grasp!
