Why? Why? Why?

Why does it have to be so friggin expensive to live on Long Island?? Please tell me. I want to have a baby sooo bad. I am itching. But it is just so damn expensive to buy a house, and I know we can't have a baby til we have one. I swear, if I had one wish in this world, it would be that I could move to Florida, get a great job, buy a house and have a baby!! (ok, it was more than one). I am just getting a bit depressed coming on the boards lately and hearing about others buying houses and others having babies, I am just soooo jealous, but very haooy for you all.. I know in due time I will have everything I want, I just needed to vent!! Thank you for listening!!

I can certainly relate. It's so sad that the house prices are so ridiculous. However, if you and hubby work hard, you'll have all that your heart desires. It is possible to get something, you just have to get out there and look. Also I see you just got married - girl please, you guys will be doing your thing in NO time!

i feel your pain!

You are so right and we are in the same situation. We want to have kids soon, but still live in an apartment. We are planning on moving in with the ILs, to save $ and buy a house. But I dont think we are going to let that stop us from trying to have kids. For me, I feel like if we wait for the right time to come, it will never come.... Ideally we would like to own a home first, but realistically, in my situation, that is years away...
I dont want to wait that long for kids.
