I paid my bill in full last month over the phone...had $7 charge this month...yet they still charged me way too much in finance charges!!!! so I call...I put in my account # and it jsut rings and rings and rings!!!!
hehe.. I saw this post and had to laugh.. Jim works for AMEX..but not the card people..
was gonna say 'AMEX always answers for me'
I think calls get lost in cycles. I've had this happen before with other cards. I usually just DONT put in an acct number and it automatically assumes you're using a rotary phone and connects to you an operator where I go one to say 'yer damned system ain't werkin' heh j/k. But I do tell them I was having problems. It usually helps.
lol thanks X...that worked...It was so hard not to press any buttons...but i got through!!! woo hoo...and they took the finance charge off...

best way to do it...I used to work for the company and would just ignore everything else and wait for an operator.
And when that doesnt work tell them you're switching over to Visa...LOL
