My story: One day in class about 3 years ago i was daydreaming and flipping through my cell phone calendar when i stumbled upon 07/07/07. I thought 'Oh...that's so cute. What a memorable day that would make. If things go well with the boyfriend i shall get married THAT day!' Ever since then everyone around me knew that i had 'picked out' my wedding date. Thanks to my wonderful FH he made sure that he proposed in time for me to go fulfill my dream! ![]()

Yes...sadly and with ALOT of convincing from family and FH, i had to sacrifice for the day after due to budget reasons. Since 07/07/07 falls upon a Saturday, choosing the next day, Sunday, made about a $15-20 per person difference! ![]()

I'm a teacher so it needed to be in the summer so we can go on a 2 week honeymoon.... but it had to be fairy early on b/c most of my family goes away in the summer-- so we picked our date based on that plus Sunday is less expensive than a Saturday night

we picked 8/9/08 because...
My birthday is 8/11/79 and
fh's birthday is 8/6/79 (he is 5 days older)
so we thought it would be nice to get married right in the middle!

January, February, March, April - too cold for DH's taste
May - bad allergy month for me
July, August - my birthday month and DH's birthday month (respectively) and we didnt want our anniversary to be the same months our birthdays were
Sept, Oct - ALOT of family birthdays so same as above
Nov, Dec - again, too cold for DH's taste
So that left us June! and we wanted a Friday or Saturday. JT was already booked up 3 weekends in June so we took what was left.

I got married in February because it was cheaper. A LOT cheaper. We saved thousands between all of our vendors by having it then. Since we were getting married after the sun went down, there were not going to be any pictures taken outside regardless of the weather. I got married on the Saturday that started Presidents Week because I was already off from work and could simply extend the vacation to accommodate an 11 night honeymoon. I also am not a fan of summer and couldnt imagine sweating my a$$ off on my wedding day. Id have been miserable. I got married on what may have been one of the coldest days of 2006.

We wanted our engagement to be about a year long. For the 2 years before my wedding, I had been out of the office during November and it fit the workflow well. The date 11/12 is easy to remember.

April 12, 2008 will be 5 years that we are together and it falls on a Saturday, so it was perfect!! Thank god for leap year ![]()

FH choose it. He's not sure why. it was random but we recently figured out that it is the same day as my confirmation and baptism

i chose may 24 b/c it is memorial day weekend and people will be able to take time off to come to the wedding (out of towners)....also b/c my brother is in the navy and he will have leave on that weekend, that was the main reason! we also like may b/c it is supposed to be a nice time of year to go on our honeymoon in Italy.

I am a teacher so I figured a summer wedding would be easiest. I could not do the week before or after my wedding date because of birthdays in the family (my little sister will be turning 13, so birthdays are still a huge deal to her . . . i understand). So it was between three weekends and I let FH pick the date.

Well I used to dream of having a fall wedding, but then price and my FH job made Sept/Oct a little more complicated. Then I wanted spring but to try and save some money, so we went for the last weekend in April!
It may not have any special meaning going into the date, but it certainly will from then on!![]()

We had booked our engagement party for 9/23/06. then we went to WM and told them we wanted a sat. between sept. & oct. they gave us 9/23 but it's a sun. so I said 'no any day would be fine' but it was the only day they had. We left there, booked the date (9/23/07) not even realizing til we got home that it was the same day as our e-party. I guess it was meant to be.

I honestly wanted to get married before I started student teaching, that way I could concentrate on planning a wedding, and student teaching seperately. I wanted to wait until my semester was over and get married as early in June as possible, and FH was all for it.
